Another one in the books...

What a year.

I am on the cusp of sharing some news that I have been waiting for since the beginning of 2025, I won't post it here, just in case a certain miserable human being is checking here, that same human being is about to find out they don't get to decide the law, the law does.

2026 is a year I have high hopes for. I have no idea if I'll be in this same state when the year is out, I can say that my expectations of what moving back here have all come up short.

They say 'You can't go home again.'

I know this is true, I tried it in 2013 and failed, so I shouldn't be surprised. That being said, I enjoy a level of freedom that I don't want to squander, so just as soon as I get the most important thing of 2026 finalized here soon, I will start making plans.

Plans have a way of laughing at us, but that doesn't mean i can't at least make a plan, and hope things go well. I'm getting my passport again this year, my old one expired too long ago to renew, that's on me.

The holidays this year will be easier, I can't explain how positive I am feeling about this year, but I will say that I have been around long enough to know that stuff happens, plans, hope, wishes all can get squashed, but until they do, I'm expecting this to be a great year.
