This site is in all likelihood going to fail at what I hope to accomplish, and it will be my own fault. I always start these projects with the best of intentions, and then they always seem to fizzle out.

Still, I've got to try, right?

My name isn't important, you don't know me, and the one person that does already knows my name. So I'll refer to myself simply as 'admin' here. It might seem silly when retelling past experiences, but know you'll know why.

About Me

I was born just after the boomer era, so translate that as "I grew up riding my bike, playing outside with friends, without adult supervision, getting into trouble, paying for getting into trouble, and somehow living to become an old man. There was no internet when I was a kid, there were no cell phones, no social media, and I thank God everyday for that, because I know, first hand, what the world was like before all of those things. I know that some things are better now, but there is plenty that's worse.

I had a child later in life, and that has been the one thing I can look back on and truly feel proud to have been a part of. Parenting is difficult, it's more difficult when your partner is absolutely fucking crazy. We're not together anymore, and I look back on the years I stuck around, only for the benefit of my Daughter, and now realize that staying together didn't do any of us any favors.

Experiences

I want this site to just be a place where I can tell stories of my life (again, just so there's a place that one person can read about what life was like for me.) and I'm sure, as I struggle with the inevitability of my own mortality, a place to occasionally vent. But my primary focus will be telling stories and relating my lifes experiences. I think I've had some interesting times over the years, and always imagine that people think I'm exaggerating and so I often under-represent the reality of those experiences, because otherwise I'd get these looks.
